Back in the Game: A recap on the 19th Ichtus Intramural Games

New Lifers came Back in the Game after two years for a week filled with sports events and competitions across batches in high school in the 19th Ichthus Intramural Games held last November 7 to 12, 2022.


All batches went head to head the whole week in hopes of being crowned champion, with batches Damascus and Olive emerging victorious in the Juniors and Seniors Division, respectively.


In the Juniors Division, Damascusaurus finished with 91 points, the Ber-e-yeahns placed second with 86 points, and Nazareth Neverland landed with 65 points in third place. For the Seniors Division, Olive Garden came home with 82 points, Generation Zion came in a close second with 81 points, and the Patmos Polar Bears came in third with 79 points.


JUNIORS DIVISION


The Damascusaurus dominated the team games, placing first in mixed volleyball, boys basketball, and girls basketball. Ber-e-yeah came in second place in mixed volleyball and boys basketball, while Nazareth Neverland placed second in girls basketball and third in boys basketball and mixed volleyball.


Berea took the table tennis boys title, while Damascus won both the table tennis girls and mixed doubles.


For badminton, the Ber-e-yeahns prevailed first in both the girls and boys category. The Damascusaurus, on the other hand, secured first place in the mixed category.


Finally, Berea won the chess tournaments and placed first in both the girls and boys category.


SENIORS DIVISION


In the Seniors Division, Generation Zion took the victory in boys basketball and mixed volleyball. The Patmos Polar Bears proved to be unbeatable in girls basketball, placed second in boys basketball, and third in mixed volleyball. Olive Garden took second in mixed volleyball and third in both girls and boys basketball.


Patmos came in first in boys table tennis while Zion took the girls category and Olive won the mixed doubles.


Generation Zion won the badminton doubles while Olive Garden placed first in the girls and boys category.


Finally, the Patmos Polar Bears swept both boys and girls chess, leaving no mercy for their competitors.
