Brianna Chloe D. See makes MGC New Life Christian Academy (MGCNLCA) history by becoming the first ever badminton varsity player to qualify and represent the National Capital Region (NCR) in Palarong Pambansa.
After her sweep of the NCR Palarong Panrehiyon, the Zion Stem student became eligible to participate in the nationwide competition from July 29 to August 5, 2023 in Marikina City.
“Knowing the rigorous and competitive qualification process for Palarong Pambansa ever since before, I feel very grateful overall to have qualified for the competition this year,” See explained.
“Aside from this, I am extremely honored to be granted the opportunity to be a representative coming from MGCNLCA as well as NCR as a whole.”
This division of the Palarong Pambansa will be held in the format of single-elimination, where participants are disqualified after a loss but will move up to the subsequent game after a win.
“I believe that staying patient throughout the games played a big role in adjusting to the different circumstances.” replied See, when asked how she coped with the competition’s challenges.
“This was primarily because I eventually realized that becoming stressed over change did not benefit me at all.”
