Drive-rary Article: A Library Near You

MGC New Life Christian Academy (MGCNLCA) provides students the opportunity to borrow books from the school’s library and have them brought to their car window through the Drive-rary program (aka Drive-Thru Library) amidst the Online Distance Learning Program.

Students interested in borrowing books can go to the library’s website, mgcnewlife.libib.com, to browse available books. The students can borrow up to 20 books from the school library by filling out a Google Form to select their pick-up dates, with pick-up periods from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in front of Gate 3. For the month of December, the form has been disabled. MGCNLCA’s Drive-rary will resume next year. They would be able to keep the books until next quarter’s Pick-Up Week for Learning Packets. There would be no overdue fines for books that were not returned on their respective Pick-Up Week. However, it will be assumed that the book is lost if it is not returned in the quarter to come. Students should be able to return or replace the books by the end of the school year to ensure the moving-up process.

Although students do not have access to reference materials, they are able to access the library’s subscriptions through other online resources such as ProQuest, Philippine E-Journals, and World Book Online. The library practices a 7-day isolation and disinfection process for borrowed materials before they are available to be borrowed again. If there are any queries, students or parents can contact the Head Librarian, Mr. Jeremy Ramos for assistance.
