MGCNLCA’s Retains Learning Modality of 4-day Face-to-Face and Friday Online Classes

In an email sent last October 20, 2022, MGC New Life Christian Academy (MGCNLCA) announced that the school will continue holding full face-to-face classes for all grade levels from Monday to Thursday, with Friday classes remaining online.

This was after DepEd Department Order No. 34, S. 2022 permitted “private schools to offer blended learning modality and full distance learning options to its students,” but mandated public schools to conduct full face-to-face classes every day.

Originally, students from all levels were supposed to go full face-to-face (F2F) from Monday to Friday in the Second to Fourth Quarters, pursuant to the original pronouncement of the Department of Education. However, due to the amendment of the DepEd Order (DO) No. 34, S. 2022, the school’s learning modality would remain the same.

In cooperation, MGCNLCA would continue to offer the same online classes to grade levels that have a minimum of eight students in the class, to ensure interaction among the learners.

Dissolution of online sections of Kinder, Grade 6, Grade 9, and Grade 10 took place at the start of the Second Quarter, with students shifting back to face-to-face.

For students who will be absent due to isolation, quarantine, or sickness, temporary Hyflex classes would still be available. The school’s end goal is to enable every student to fully transition from online classes to face-to-face. Students who are enrolled in a face-to-face set-up are not allowed to transfer to an online class.
