As School Year 2022-2023 draws nearer, the gates of MGC New Life Christian Academy (MGCNLCA) opened from August 3 to 4, 2022 for another drive-thru pick-up.
From 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, drivers and passengers, at their assigned time, retrieved learning packets and returned books to the Drive-rary; all interactions during these periods were completed through the open window of their vehicle.
Persons in the vehicle were still required to wear masks during the entire duration. Temperature checks were taken before they were allowed to enter the school premise.
The contents of each learning packet varied, depending on the student’s grade level, with general items found inside the packets ranging from last school year’s awards to report cards and official receipts from previous payments.
During the pandemic, the drive-thru pick-up was instituted as a way to distribute each student’s respective learning packets while minimizing face-to-face contact as much as possible.
The original date for the pick-up was initially on July 28-29, 2022. However, due to a disruption with DGDiary, the website used for ordering the textbooks and uniforms, school administrator Mrs. Joanna Uy announced that the drive-thru pick-up will be postponed to August 3 to 4 instead.
