MGCNLCA welcomes new parents in Zoom celebration

MGC New Life Christian Academy (MGCNLCA) held its second virtual welcome party for new parents last September 11 via Zoom. Organized by parent-volunteers, the event was meant to introduce newcomers to the school's environment and foster better parent-teacher relationships.

Preschool Supervisor Mrs. Evangeline Co officially welcomed and acknowledged the new parents before leading the praise and worship and opening the event with a prayer. After viewing the school audio-visual presentation (AVP), MGCNLCA principal Mrs. Helen Villanueva gave a speech entitled “A Healthy Home,” which discussed various parenting and marriage tips to support a conducive family environment. Villanueva highlighted the importance of legacy- sharing a quote from Carol Buncher, “They may forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel.” Attendees engaged in a quick icebreaker, where they entered their respective breakout rooms with their facilitators and culminated the session with a Closing Prayer.

Fifty-two families were in attendance, each receiving a bucket of Chickenjoy as a special welcome treat on the day of the event.
