As the second quarter of S.Y. 2021-2022 gets underway, the high school students of MGC New Life Christian Academy (MGCNLCA) garnered awards in various academic competitions this October.
Six Grade 11 students of the Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) strand won 3rd place in the “Creative Interpretation Challenge - 10 Tuntunin at Prinsipyo sa Pagboto” hosted by former Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno. Submitting a 4-minute animated video which they wrote, drew, and dubbed, the students were also awarded a cash prize of Php 5,000.
The students who participated in the event were Cai Nathan Lo, Zoey Stephanie Axibal, Erin Kimberly Co, Athena Charlize Gamboa, Beatrice Calee Lim, and Katherine Grace Lim.
Earlier this month, four MGCNLCA delegates who participated in the MUN LOCALS 2021 hosted by International School Manila (ISM) from October 8-9 won the following awards:
Steffi Nadine GK. Chu (Olive-STEM) as Best Delegate in General Assembly 3,
Kaithlyn Ann C. Chua (Olive-STEM) as Most Diplomatic Delegate of General Assembly 3,
Erin Kimberly L. Co (Olive-HUMSS) as Most Diplomatic Delegate in General Assembly 4, and
James Nathan Y. Ang (Zion-ABM) as Most Diplomatic Delegate in General Assembly 6.
