After a relentless week of online games and tournaments, Batch Olive (Grade 11) was crowned as the champion in the Student Government’s (SG) E-ntrams "Ready Or Not" from March 28 to 31, 2022. Scoring a whopping 53 points, the Olive Olympians triumphed over the other five batches, and won the P10,000 prize money.
Coming in second was Batch Berea (Grade 8), scoring 30 points, followed by Damascus (Grade 9) with 26 points, Patmos (Grade 10) with 20 points, Zion (Grade 12) scoring 19 points, and batch Nazareth (Grade 7) with 11 points.
The week-long event, which included games such as Valorant, Chess, Minecraft, Jackbox, and Genshin Impact, as well as a batch activity entitled "Challenge Accepted," was open to MGC New Life Christian Academy students from grades 7 to 12, with the batches racing to earn the highest tallied score in order to receive a prize of 10,000 pesos.
All games were held in the SG's official Discord server, "The Lounge," excluding Jackbox, which was held on Zoom. Valorant and Jackbox were scheduled for Monday (March 28), Minecraft and Chess for Tuesday (March 29), Valorant and Genshin were set for Wednesday (March 30), and Minecraft and Chess were listed for Thursday (March 31). For each game, the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth places received 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 point/s, respectively. All competitions were held after synchronous and asynchronous classes from 4:00 pm onwards.
Along with the games, a "bucket list" batch activity called "Challenge Accepted" was also planned for this event, in which students completed tasks to earn extra points. Missions and challenges were ranked in order of difficulty, with the more difficult ones earning more points.
The opening ceremony took place on March 28 while the closing ceremony was held on April 4, both via Zoom. The winners were announced during the closing ceremony.
