Parents Commend MGCNLCA’s Drive-Thru Pickup of Learning Packets

Safe. Efficient. Organized.

These are how parents have described MGC New Life Christian Academy’s drive-thru for learning packets, a procedure designed to distribute materials safely during the pandemic.

Mrs. Levina Lim said, “They really made it safe for everyone by not letting us get off the car...” Describing their experience as a “contactless” process, Mrs. Abbie Reyes and another parent shared the same thoughts.

For many, the drive-thru pickup of learning packets was very efficient, as Lim had phrased it, “faster (pa) than fast food drive-thru.” One parent further commented, “I also appreciate the fact that procedure is done on a quarterly basis, allowing for adjustments when needed.”

Other parents showed their appreciation for the easy-to-comprehend instructions. According to Mrs. Candy Esteban, “The information sent via email was complete, timely, and accurate. The instructions were very easy to understand.” Mrs. Aileen Cabilangan said, “The instructions for pickup are very clear that even my driver who can’t read English can easily follow it.”

The administrative personnel and support staff have conducted six drive-thrus thus far, distributing learning packets to 726 families. Each packet may include awards and purchased items.

With thousands of student packets to work on, mistakes are bound to happen. According to a parent, “There was a missing page. It was not in the package picked up but should have been included based on the checklist.” Meanwhile, an MGCNL mother suggested that “the school should allow third-party logistics to pick up in case parents are busy.”

Despite these minor oversights, the parents continue to praise the school for its dedication, thoughtfulness, and hard work. “It clearly shows how much preparation and planning the school administrators and staff have put into this whole process. I cannot imagine the logistics involved in preparing all the packages by student and then pool them together by family!” Mrs. Evelyn Ng exclaimed. Another remarked, “It’s very efficient and well thought of. It’s one of the things I’m proud of about being an [MGCNL] parent. Salute to [MGCNL]!”
