Although the pandemic is still raging, there will be two exciting events to look forward to this December in MGC New Life Christian Academy, all in support of the Christmas Outreach.
First off, the Student Government will be holding an Outreach fundraiser—and not just any fundraiser. Reviving MGCNL’s Got Talent from two years ago, “A Star is Born: MGCNL’s Got Talent 2.0” will be held via Zoom as well as live-streamed on Facebook on December 18, 2021. Prizes of P20,000, P12,000, and P8,000 will be given for first, second, and third places, respectively. There will also be a raffle with six lucky winners, who will be receiving one of six prizes: earbuds, a smartwatch, a gaming chair, a speaker, a microphone, and a keyboard.
Then from November 22 to December 4, 2021, Coral Reef Fellowship will be having its own fundraiser, the Move-a-thon. Those who join will be able to participate in physical activities such as running or biking. Participants can support the Move-a-thon by donating, pledging a donation, or by soliciting pledges from donors.
Proceeds from both fundraisers will be used to help 1800 families, who will be given Noche Buena packages worth P1000 each by the Outreach committee. The theme of the Christmas Outreach this year is “Hope in Christmas,” guided by Romans 15:13: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
