It may be safe to say 2020 has been quite a mess, to say the least. With most of us being quarantined due to COVID-19 and struggling to adapt, life could be stressful and mentally challenging for some. Because of this, we want to alleviate these burdensome feelings by de-stressing and having some fun inside the house; what better way to do so than crafting something new inside the kitchen? 2020 quarantine food trends have resulted from boredom, efficiency, and the craving to ease the disheartening impact of staying inside the house for months. 1. Dalgona Coffee

This quarantine drink can be made simply with granulated sugar, instant coffee, and cold water. Ice and milk can also be added for serving. To make Dalgona coffee, just mix sugar, coffee, and water together and whisk away until you achieve a nice silky and fluffy shape. Using a hand mixer can also help in quickening the process. Finally, grab yourself a glass and fill it up with ¾ milk and ice, then add the Dalgona cream on top to end. Enjoy your drink by drinking straight up or by mixing it as one! Ingredients for the cloud bread include cream of tartar, cream cheese, and egg as its main components. Cloud bread can easily be made in 25 minutes! The key to making cloud bread is beating the egg whites until they become meringue peaks and mixing it with the cream of tartar and the cream cheese. Finally, pair up the bread with some filling of your choice, and you have yourself a guilt-free sandwich!

4. Baked Sushi:


When you think of sushi, you might think it’s complicated to create because of the many layers that give it a mouthwatering balance of flavors that provide you with a temporary feeling of euphoric utopia. The first step to making baked sushi is cooking and seasoning your rice and salmon. Then, your crab sticks and salmon should be mixed with Japanese mayo and cream cheese. Your baked sushi can then be constructed in a glass container with your rice, salmon, and crab sticks. Finally, bake your sushi and serve it with nori wrappers.
